How I think about Lady Gaga

In fact I don't usually listen to American rock / hip-hop music. Some of the reasons are that there is less melody in the songs, and I can't understand what they sing.

Before I knew Lady Gaga, she became very popular in year 2008. The first song I heard is one of her popular song, Poker Face, on the radio. I like when she sings "Can't read my". The repeating three notes C-B-G is already melodic, but she sings even in a catchy and powerful way.

But actually I didn't know she is so talented until I watched her self-introduction on Youtube and knew she was able to attend Juilliard School (but actually she turned to another school). So I thought she must have had regular music training. She did. In fact she started learning piano at age of four.

So I looked for her playing pianos, and that's really awesome:

Compared to the original version with drums and other instruments, I rather like her singing with piano solo because her powerful and various voice cannot be heard under heavy metal drumming! (It sounds different when she sings loudly and quietly)

It's not hard to tell why she gets famous so fast...fashioned dressing and always showing her long legs. But what I admire is her music talent -- A pop song singer but still a musician. (The same reason I like Jay Chao )
